First of all i am a sucker for revenge themed dramas; particularly those that revolve around romance.. So it was a no brainer that i would be attracted to a romance melodrama that is about revenge; the acting, the cast, the story, the music.. Everything was so spot on, i love this drama so much and always go back to watch it again and again.. I became a fan of song joong ki ( the lead actor) because of this drama.

What to say about this Korean drama shows that i haven’t said already, i have recommended it number of times and raved about it more times than i can remember.. Look this drama revolves around politics and that’s why i put it on hold for a time as I am not into politics but i have to say time and time again this show sure forced me out of my comfort zone ..

Me not being interested in politics led to me almost missing out on this amazing drama.. And the politics believe me it is a plus.. I love this drama.. And you sure are in for a journey, it’s fast paced, there is not one dull moment, the drama kept me on the edge of my seat.. It has been a while since I was this excited about a drama. And besides i have always had a soft spot for ji jin hee.

Defendant: Park Jung-woo is a prosecutor at Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. One day, he wakes up & finds himself a convict on death row. Suffering from temporary amnesia, Jung-woo has no idea what transpired to land him in prison. He struggles to recover his memory & clear his name.

This Korean drama shows is the perfect blend of impeccable acting, characters andsuspense, the mystery part comes in small and I mean teeny tiny doses, but believe me when I say this is a drama you wouldn’t want to miss.. So amazingly done that you would regret not watching it.

Missing you or also known as i miss you

Missing you: Middle school sweethearts Jung-woo and Soo-yeon were separated in a horrifying tragedy that continues to weigh down on them as adults. Now a guilt-ridden detective, Jung-woo has been desperately searching for Soo-yeon for years, but when he crosses paths with her again, she has already become someone else with a new identity.

A melodrama that captures all your senses in every way, it is captivating and emotionally provoking.. Be prepared it is a tearjerker, you would cry buckets but it is such a beautiful drama, worth every second, I watched this drama several times..

Gaksital or also known as bridal mask:

Bridal mask: In 1930s Seoul, a Korean officer working for Japanese colonists pursues a freedom fighter known as Bridal Mask, which leads him down unexpected paths.

I thoroughly enjoyed the heck out of this Korean drama shows.. Talk about a hidden gem, the story, the acting, the music, the flow of events, the development of the male lead.. Such an epic drama.. It does have romance but the romance here is a side character.. The main event is the character that wears the bridal mask.. A must watch, loved every second of it.

Can you hear my heart

Can you hear my heart: The love story of Cha Dong Joo, man who’s been rendered deaf after an accident but pretends he can hear, and Bong Woo Ri, a woman who’s intelligent but pretends she’s dim-witted to protect the dignity of her mentally handicapped father.

It starts slow but it is such a heartwarming Korean drama shows, a deaf guy and a woman who knows sign language because her late mother also was deaf meet and so begins their story.. I have to say it is a very interesting and an enjoyable ride, you would love most if not all the casts with some exceptions of course but the acting, the romance, the incredible chemistry that the two leads have, the difficulties, everything makes this drama a delightful watch.. You would regret not watching it, but bare with it for the first few episodes as it starts slow when all the leads were children but when the plot does kick in the story becomes so good.

Coffee prince

Coffee prince: An irresponsible bachelor pretends to be gay so he can avoid blind dates arranged by his grandma. He hires Eun-chan to be his lover, not knowing that she is actually a female.

I definitely recommend this k-drama. The plot and the cast are all brilliant. This k-drama will make you laugh and cry, it’s interesting and different to other romantic k-dramas.. The female lead is so damn believable as a boy, the lead chemistry is off the charts, the drama is light, funny and engaging.. One of my favorite dramas, i rewatched it number of times.

Good doctor

Good doctor: An autistic savant becomes a paediatrician and tries to prove himself in the face of conflict with patients and peers. A hot-headed surgeon dislikes him, while he develops an understanding with two other colleagues.

This is such a warm, beautiful, very and i mean very enjoyable Korean drama shows.. The male lead is brilliant and you cannot help but love him.. I did kinda get irritated about the other doctors in this drama who had little patience and were always yelling at him; made them super unprofessional.. Anyway this is a light, inspiring warm drama that was such a pleasure to watch.

Pasta: Seo Yoo Kyung works as a kitchen assistant at La Sfera restaurant, but her dream is to become an elite Italian cuisine chef.

It took me a little while to watch pasta. The poster didn’t look that promising. I didn’t even realize at first that it was gong hyo jin on the poster.. (This actress is phenomenal; there isn’t a drama of her that i haven’t loved), anyway I decided to give it a go, and I ended up loving it! The lead male may seem a little harsh but he truly wanted her to be betterso he always kept ber on her toes, their interactions were fascinating. I mean they don’t need too much lovey dovey scenes or anything, just them being together or having a conversation made their scenes that much more romantic.. Their relationship is kinda like how a real life one could be like.. when it comes to their love life, they take things neither at a slow nor at a quick rate.. It is a well paced relationship and a well paced drama. Watched it several times, it is such a fun watch.

Falling for innocence

Falling for innocence: Following a series of tragedies, a man has a heart transplant and adjusts his outlook on life.

This drama has one of the cutest couple ever.. I have a warm spot for this drama. The drama is a romcom, it does have its melodramatic moments but the drama is such a fun, beautiful and light watch.. It is one of my favourites, it brings joy to your heart and all the casts are so talented, the leads have such an incredible chemistry.. It has an innocent like love story which makes it all the more beautiful and endearing.

The greatest love

The greatest love: An unlikely encounter between a fallen pop starlet and Korea’s top heartthrob leads to a complicated love square that includes her former rival.

What can I say about this drama is that it’s one of my favorites, I became a fan of cha seung-won the male lead actor because of this drama, he is simply put incredible, made me laugh out loud and empathize, cry and just plain crazy with his depiction of his character.. This is a quirky, funny, lovable drama that has a couple with incredible chemistry.. In my opinion it’s Romcom at its finest.

That winter the wind blows

That winter the wind blows: A talented gambler plans to scam a woman who is the heir to a large corporation in order to pay back his debt to a gangster. However, he soon finds that they have more in common that he thought.

This series is a remake of the movie love me not which i loved, so when i knew that there would be a remake of it and it would be a drama i was ecstatic and kinda fearful that they might ruin a story that i loved.. My fears were misplaced because this drama far surpassed my expectations and i fell in LOVE more with it as a drama series, it allowed the story & the characters to have more room to develop & made the story much more interesting & heartfelt. The chemistry between the leads is perfect. The series is about redemption and forgiveness. At times the story seems to lag on and nothing seems to happen, however the gorgeous production, wonderful setting, cinematography and great acting makes it all worthy.

I watched this more time than i could count and still the story never fails to amaze me.

Dong yi

Dong yi: is a historical drama based on the life of Dong-yi later known as Choi Suk-bin. Choi worked in the royal palace as a lowly water maid. King Sok-jong then selected Choi as his concubine. Choi would then give to birth Yeong-jo, the second son of King Sok-jong and the future king of Joseon. After the birth of Yeong-jo. Dong-yi would become Suk-bin.

I have to warn you first, this is 60 episodes drama and there is romance in it albeit not the focal point but does play a big part in how the events unfold; so if you don’t mind long historical dramas, then you should definitely check this one out..

It starts slow probably for the first 4 or 5 episodes and then it becomes so good, so interesting and enjoyable.. I was emotionally invested, I lost sleep over this kdrama, the backstabbing, the romance, the mind games, politics, power struggle and it is done in a way were you are never bored, I watched it 3 times.

W two worlds

W two worlds: A romance takes place between Kang Chul, who is super rich and exist in the webtoon “W,” and Oh Yeon-Joo who is a surgeon in the real world.

This drama has a really creative and fascinating storyline that captivate you with its two worlds: a real world & a fantasy one. The drama is full of suspense, some mystery and surprises. The chemistry between 2 main leads and their romance is also pretty great.

My id is gangam beauty

My id is gangam beauty: A decision to undergo cosmetic surgery to avoid ridicule backfires on a self-conscious college student when bullies find new ways to make fun of her appearance, but a new friendship with a classmate may help her gain the confidence she needs. The drama setting is in college.

I have watched it twice, it’s that good.. Actually it’s so good that I never get tired of it.. And the main lead chemistry is out of this world.. It’s worth noting that the main male lead here is one of the best main lead personality ever depicted in a kdrama.. What more could you ask for..

I have a lover

I have a lover: Hae-Gang is a successful lawyer, but she wants to become more successful. Due to her ambitions, her relationship with her husband, Jin-Eon, deteriorates. At that his time, Jin-Eon meets Seol-Ri who attends the same graduate school. Her personality is pure & enthusiastic, like his wife Hae-Gang had in the past. Hae-Gang then has an accident & loses her memory. She meets Baek Seok & live as her younger twin sister Yong-Gi.

I have to warn you first this is a lengthy drama; a 50 episode drama so if you are not into lengthy dramas or don’t have the time then its not for you. I love this drama and am very fond of it but not everyone would feel the same.. I have my own opinion on every character in this series; loved the husband, felt angry with him but nonetheless i kinda understood where he came from and why he did what he did; of course it doesn’t excuse him but it made me put certain things into perspective and get a full view on him as a character and on the other characters as well..

I am not gonna go into details and spoil the drama for anyone.. I really like this drama so much that i watched it 3 times already and love how everyone gets a second chance.. It is about redemption, forgiveness, mistakes, morality, ambitions, desires, love, hate, regrets, family ties and so much more.. The leads have sizzling chemistry and were such a delight to watch, actually all the casts were so amazing..

Sorry for the long answer, but i couldn’t help myself ; once i start talking about something i love or like i can’t stop..

Anyway i hope you would give them a try if you haven’t watched any of them.. They are really good.
